Frequently asked questions.
Who can be part of the Global Outreach Network?
The Global Outreach Network is designed exclusively for Global Missions leaders in the North American church. This means pastors, staff, or lay leaders who carry leadership responsibility for their church’s global engagement strategy, partnerships, or vision.
The Network is not open to NGOs, nonprofits, or missionaries. While we value and honor their work, GON is a space for church leaders only. It’s intentionally built as a safe environment where peers in the same seat can wrestle with high-level issues, learn from one another, and sharpen their leadership without outside agendas..
What does it cost to join the Global Outreach Network?
Basic engagement in the Network is free. You can join the monthly Zoom calls at no cost and participate in conversations on the Circle platform without charge.
Live events, like the annual GON Roundtable or workshops, are fee-based. We charge per event depending on venue and costs.
GON Cohorts are $750 per year, renewable annually. This is the most structured way to engage, giving you a peer group of mission leaders who journey together monthly.
In short:
Monthly Zoom calls: free
Circle platform: free
Live events: pay per event
Cohorts: $750/year
How do I receive an invitation to the GON monthly Zoom calls?
The Global Outreach Network is exclusive to Global Missions leaders in the North American church. To receive the Zoom link, you must be on our invitation list.
To be added, simply click here. Complete the brief form and we will add you to the invitation list. Once you’re on the list, Zoom links are sent directly by email before each call. They are not posted publicly or accessible through the website.
What kind of topics are discussed on the monthly Zoom calls?
Each month we gather around one key topic and spend an hour in conversation as peers. Topics vary. Sometimes they’re drawn from current issues in global missions. Other times they come from within the Network itself, when a leader recommends a specific topic. We also may address cultural issues when they shape how churches engage globally.
In short, the topics can be wide-ranging, but the purpose is always the same: to bring leaders together for honest conversation and shared sharpening.
What are GON cohorts, why should I join, and why is there a cost?
GON Cohorts are small, peer groups of Global Missions leaders who meet monthly to sharpen one another, share real challenges, and grow together. They provide a trusted space to think strategically, gain fresh perspective, and build relationships with leaders who understand your role.
Cohorts cost $750 per year, renewable annually. The cost reflects the work that goes into curating the right mix of leaders, preparing conversation guides, relevant topics, and sending written summaries after each call. It also helps ensure commitment, so that everyone in the group shows up consistently and the conversations remain meaningful.
Why are the monthly Zoom calls free, but the cohorts are not? What’s the difference?
The monthly Zoom calls are open conversations for the wider Network. They’re free because we want any Global Mission leader in the North American church to have access to fresh ideas and peer connection.
Cohorts are different. They’re small, curated groups that journey together every month. Each cohort is intentionally built, guided with conversation resources, and supported with written summaries after every call. That added level of structure, facilitation, and follow-up is why there is a cost..
In short: Zoom calls give you a broad network, while cohorts give you a smaller circle of trusted peers walking with you over time.
What is the Circle platform?
Circle is our online hub where leaders can connect outside of Zoom calls. It’s a place to share resources, ask questions, continue conversations between meetings, and stay connected with the wider Network. Access is free for all invited leaders. To join th Circle platform, click here.
What is the GON Roundtable?
The Roundtable is our annual in-person gathering of mission leaders. It’s a 2 1/2 day event focused on big-picture strategy, peer learning, and honest conversation about how the U.S. church engages globally. Attendance is fee-based.
